Conceptual Design (2014) - Solar PV: engineering services providing technical support for a solar developer. The scope of the services included the delivery of the concept design and layout for 3 utility-scale solar PV installations in Australia.
Procurement Services (2014) - Infrastructure Roads: supporting a major international Pre-cast manufacturer in connection with the Pacific Hwy Upgrade. The scope of the services included defining the procurement strategy, issue of RFP's, liaison with and primary point of contact for Suppliers and technical and economic evaluation of proposals.
Bid Management (2014) - Water: for the upgrade of a controls system of a water treatment plant in NSW in the mining sector.

Feasibility Study (2012-2013) - Solar Gas Hybrid: to analyse the opportunity of providing industrial steam using CSP technologies at an existing operating site for a major Oil&Gas player in Australia - project value $180m. The study included a review of existing power generation and utilities assets on site, conceptual design and evaluation of most appropriate technical solution, estimating capital expenditure and operating costs, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, financial modelling to determine costs of generated steam.
Proposal Management (2013) - CSP Solar: for ARENA Grant submission to undertake a full feasibility study for a CSP plant in Australia. The Feasibility Study is curently under execution.
Project and Bid Management (2012-2013) - PV Solar: for a $50m Solar PV project in the ACT managing a team of 6 people. The project included: project origination; site identification, analysis and selection; negotiation and execution of land agreement; coordination of site legal DD and project Technical DD; and securement of conditional Term Sheet from comercial lenders. This project was submitted to the ACT government under the ACT Solar Auction process. The bid team was multidiscipline with members covering areas: engineering, legal, finance, EPC, O&M.
Pre-feasibility Study (2011) - Solar Coal Hybrid for a coal-solar hybrid project, integrating CSP technologies into a state-owned power station in QLD. The study analysed alternative technology configurations and sites, to propose the most suitable solution. The study included conceptual design, plant generation modelling and capital expenditure and O&M cost analysis.
Proposal for R&D project (2010) - Storage in collaboration with CSIRO. The 3-year project ($7.4m) is currently underway
having successfully secured a $3.8m grant from the Australian Government.
Bid Management (2009-2010) - CSP Solar: for the Solar Flagships Program preparing bids with a total project value in excess of +2.0bn. Managing a multidisciplinary team of 15 members including the following areas: engineering, legal, finance, EPC, O&M, IP. Direct responsibility for bid documentation review, bid strategy, client engagement, risk analysis and bid team integration and coordination. Succeeded in forming a strong bidding consortium including a GOC power generator, large Japanese trading house, Abengoa and tier-one Australian civil contractor.
Concept Study (2009) - Solar/Water Desalination: for a hybrid solar/desalination project at a remote mining site in Chile.
Pre-Feasibilty (2009) for a solar PV industry and industry development proposal to regional Authorities in Argentina.
Technology Roadmap (2009) to estimate the cost curve and Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE) until 2020 for utility-scale PV and CSP technologies. This roadmap was critical to determine technology strategic directions for a leading global solar company. The roadmap required a holistic approach to assess the economic impact of technological improvements taking into consideration a range of contextual factors (cost of supply chain, technology improvements, regulation, cost of fossil fuels, etc.) impacting on the commercial viability of the technology.
